Porsche has expanded its new Taycan lineup for 2025, introducing the Taycan 4—a more accessible all-wheel-drive (AWD) option for Los Angeles drivers that are also electric Porsche enthusiasts. The Taycan 4 provides AWD capabilities without the higher cost of trims like the 4S or Cross Turismo.
Equipped with a second electric motor on the front axle, the Taycan 4 boosts torque to 431 lb-ft with the standard battery and up to 449 lb-ft with the optional Performance Battery Plus. While Porsche estimates a 4.4-second 0-to-60 mph time, real-world performance could bring it closer to sub-four-second territory. These enhancements come with increased weight, estimated at 4900–5100 pounds, depending on the battery size.
The driving range is yet to receive official EPA ratings, but estimates suggest up to 310 miles with the larger battery. The Taycan 4 has already impressed in extreme conditions, demonstrating exceptional traction and precision on icy tracks at the Porsche Ice Experience in Finland.
Porsche has also added two new GTS models—available as a sedan or Sport Turismo—to the Taycan lineup. These sportier trims offer 690 horsepower with launch control, achieving a blistering 3.1-second 0-to-60 mph time. Styling and performance upgrades, such as adaptive sports seats and optional rear-axle steering, further define the GTS models.
With these additions, the 2025 Taycan lineup now features seven models, catering to a broad spectrum of driving preferences. The Taycan 4 is poised to become a popular choice for those seeking a thrilling yet affordable entry point into Porsche's world of AWD electric excellence.
